Spennymoor Gala Committee – Volunteer Opportunities

The Spennymoor Gala is one of the town’s most cherished traditions, bringing together families, local organisations, and performers for a weekend of celebration, heritage, and pride. To help us continue this legacy, we are seeking enthusiastic and community-minded volunteers to join the Gala Committee in the following key roles:

  • Treasurer
Oversees the Gala’s finances, maintains financial records, processes payments, and supports funding applications.
  • Assistant Event Manager
Supports the planning and delivery of the Gala, liaising with suppliers, performers, and volunteers, assisting with logistics and event coordination to ensure a smooth and safe event for all.

Commitment

  • Meeting attendance: Twice monthly (usually Wednesdays, 5:30–6:30pm) from January to July.
